Jeremiah is call the weeping prophet because he had to watch God's people be destroyed.

The Potter’s Hands

Some 500 years ago Martin Luther pounded 95 Thesis, or discussion topics, on the local bulletin board – the castle church door. There was nothing essentially rebellious about his work. His conscience bothered him and he wanted to talk about a few things. That innocent action ignited a world wide movement to reform the church. The return to the gospel is one of the most important events in the history of the world.

Jesus has authority over sickness, Satan, and sin.

One in Christ – Finances

Unfettered arrogance is a sight to see. It can be difficult to look away watching someone so overconfident that his fall isn’t a matter of if but of when. Jesus loved the Rich Young Ruler knowing that his words would have to cut before this proud soul could be healed. Might Jesus words ever apply to us?

Jeremiah is call the weeping prophet because he had to watch God's people be destroyed.

Sinking Feeling

What was the lowest point in your life? For Jeremiah you might think that it was being thrown into a cistern (big hole for water storage). It’s hard to imagine, but things got even worse. Watch how Jeremiah responded on his bad days and consider how we can respond as well. Even in the low points of life as we bear our crosses, God is still with us.

700 years before Jesus walked the earth Isaiah saw Jesus' ministry and work of saving the world. The darkness of sins doesn't stand a chance in the light of the Christ child. God did what no one could.

Everything Done Well

God does not make allowance for our weakness. We are not spiritually handicapped. By nature we are spiritual corpses. To minimize our sin means that we minimize our Savior and the awesome work that he has done for us. Jesus took our place and kept God’s Law that he might be the perfect substitute for us, the perfect sacrifice for us. 700 year before Jesus walked the earth the prophet Isaiah recorded what Jesus’ ministry would look like. Jesus has done all things well.
