Glory be to God! That is easy to say, but it’s hard to do. The Apostle Peter found that out the hard way. Have you ever walked on water? Peter had. He knew the thrill and exhilaration of stepping out of a boat in the middle of a storm and walking on water. He also knew what is was like to sink in the middle of a lake after seeing the waves that were about to cover him. Even then, Jesus didn’t let him down. Jesus didn’t let Peter down when Peter tried to take Jesus down the road of glory either. Jesus immediately rebuked Peter, “Get behind me Satan!” It was with that backdrop that we go for a walk up the mountain.
Peter, James, and John had gone off with Jesus before. This time would be different. Jesus would reveal his glory one last time before his suffering. Why was this crucial for Peter, James and John, and us? Watch and find out!
