Is there really only one way to God. There are alot of religions in the world aren’t there? How can there be really only one way to God? Answering that question might be simpler than it first seems.
Jesus is clear when he said, “I am the way and truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). What is interesting about all of the other faiths in the world is that they all demand that a person do something to make themselves worthy for God. Christianity also has a set of rules for people to follow, but the big difference is that no one can ever become good enough for God. He says through the prophet Isaiah that the good works we do to earn our way to heaven are disgusting to him.
The only way that we can ever be good enough for God is for God to give us the righteousness we so desperately need. Let me restate that because it’s the most important truth a person could ever hope to hear – the righteousness (perfection) that God demands, God gives to us through faith in Jesus. The Apostle Paul said it this way. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
