The Ladies Bible study has moved online!  They will gather using Zoom to enjoy everyone’s company.  Shelter in place doesn’t mean we can’t encourage each other!  If you would like to find a smiling face and a new friend consider joining them every other Wednesday.

What does the world’s oldest book of Christian music look like?  It’s a little Psalty!  The book Psalms contains 150 of God’s greatest hits.  Each one a song for God’s Old Testament Christians.  In this class will dig into the history behind these songs from the pen of our God and get a little Psalty!

Food Pantry

We’ll offer a food pantry every Sunday from 9 AM to noon. The food will be placed on a table in our car port to minimize contact. Thank you to the members of our church and community who donate food.

Ancient Wisdom for 2021

Due to the snow storm we will not offer our early Zoom Bible study. It’s the start of a New Year and everyone is look for some good advice.  What better place to look than the Bible?  God has inspired (literally breathed in his very words) the authors of this book with some awesome wisdom.  In this class we’ll look at a few common topics that come up and see what wisdom our God has for us!

There are more than one hundred names of God in the Bible.  I don’t know that we’ll get through them all in this class, but we’ll make a dent in the list.  We could run through them in alphabetical order, but instead we’ll try and cluster them together by topic.  This study will take us all over Scripture as we’ll study what God calls himself.  These are the Names of God

Salsa Sunday

Cinco de Mayo is a great reason to celebrate with a little party!  Bring your favorite salsa, dip or chips.  Enjoy the beautiful weather as we gather in the car port for fellowship, food and fun.  Some of the homemade salsas are incredible.  We’ll see you there!

Rend Your Hearts

When the prophet Joel called God’s people to repentance he understood that this was more than a change of action.  Repentance is a change of the heart.  This isn’t something that God’s people can do on their own either.  In Rend Your Hearts we will look at a number of different passages from our God.

How can joy be completed?  John describes this as his goal in his first letter.  The Apostle John was known as the disciple whom Jesus loved.  John was inspired to write a biography of Jesus and a Revelation that offers visions of heaven itself and the end of the world.  For this Bible study we will focus on the three letters John wrote to the ancient church.

St. Patrick’s Day Party

Can German Lutherans be Irish?  We’re going to find on Sunday, March 14th!  Join us for a green celebration as we remember St. Patrick’s work.  There will, of course, be food.  Help us save you a sub sandwich by filling out a form.  There is no cost.  Bring as many people at you like.  Maybe you can be Irish too?

Ash Wednesday Worship

We will offer an Ash Wednesday worship service complete with FREE ASHES.  Yes, that’s right, the ashes are free this year (and every year).  If you’re not sure about ashes being shmeared on your forehead know that Star of Bethlehem offers a self-imposition of ashes.  It is a completely optional tradition.

Congregational Meeting

It was three weeks in the making, but it finally happened! The congregational meeting was pushed back two Sundays due to winter weather. We spent some time detailing the upcoming plans for our ministry. There was some time spent talking about the work that needs to happen on the pews as well.
