A Chili Cookoff is a great way to chase away the cold chills of January. The event was open to everyone! There was a chance for people to vote for their favorite chili. From mild to ghost pepper hot there is sure to be a chili for your taste buds. Come and warm up with a hot bowl of chili!
January can be a cold dark month. Families have been back to the grind after the natural let down from the holidays. Star of Bethlehem Lutheran Church offered the community a movie night on Saturday, January 28th. There was no charge and refreshments like candy, soda, and popcorn were offered. Family and friends were welcomed. We showed Minions: The Rise of Gru. Thanks for a fun event!

It was the largest group from the North Atlantic District for a college tour. Five of our prep teens took some time to consider attending Martin Luther College and Wisconsin Luther College.
Normally we think of going back to school and a changing of the colors in September. We’re firing up the BBQ again to hang onto summer and connect with the community. It was great fun at the September cookout!

The summer is winding down. School is about to start, why not take one night to enjoy a cookout! There were 18 people from the community who had that same thought. Families from right around the corner came to share some food and a conversation.
The dog days of summer aren’t so hot when you can cool down at a cookout with members of the community. Thank you, as always, to those who made the event a success. We were able to see new and old faces.
Thank you for a great cookout to start the summer! Many volunteers came together to make the event a success. We had some surprise guests from the community as well. There was PLENTY of food. We’ll try to grow and build on this experience for July.

It was a great night of fun and fellowship. God has blessed our flock with some new faces over the past six months. This event gave them a chance to build relationships, something they haven’t had much opportunity to do in 2020.
So many board games… so little time… this event has a soft spot in the congregation’s life. It’s a great time to laugh along and strategize what your next move will be. Meeting new people is the icing on the cake.
Special thanks to Carl Schneider who spent the night! The kids were great. There was a devotion offered on change in many of the ways that it impacts our lives. We praise our changeless God! He will always love us.
