Ascension may see to be a curious church holiday. Why would the church celebrate Jesus’ physical presence leaving the planet?! How does that help? Wouldn’t life be better with Jesus roaming the planet stopping wars and curing disease? Watch and see how even though Jesus is gone, we are not alone.

“I am the vine; you are the branches.”  With these words Jesus reminds us of the important relationship that he has with us.  Bearing fruit for his kingdom is something we can only do if we are connected to him.

Alive, No Doubt About It

April 13th is the day we celebrate Thomas Jefferson’s birthday. While the founding father of our nation loved books of all kinds, you might be surprised to see what he did to the Bible. What was it about the resurrection that caused such a strong reaction from Thomas Jefferson, Greeks, Romans, and even one of Jesus’ own disciples?! Nothing can change the truth that Jesus is alive, no doubt about it.
