Where can we find new life? Jesus takes time after his resurrection to lead his disciples into his word. He does this because he knows that he is leaving! He does this because his Spirit will use the Word to fan the flame of faith into a blaze! Where can we find new life? It is found in God’s Word – only in Jesus name.
Why aren’t the disciples dancing the in the streets?! Jesus lives! This is true, but there was no peace in their hearts. At least not right away. This “Doubting Thomas” Sunday we’ll look at doubt and see how our God brings peace.
He lives! The grave is broken. Where, O, Death is your victory? Where, O, Death is your sting? Most of the time its a bad idea to taunt anyone. But on Easter Sunday there is nothing that death can do. Eternal life is a fact. Eternal life is ours in Jesus.
