Start a New Way of Living! God Loves You!

Ref500

Martin Luther reformed the Church 500 years ago.

Sola Christus

In Christ alone our hope is found! Everything comes back to Jesus. There are plenty of other people, works, theologies, and gods that others try to tack onto what we believe. As we celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation may we always keep the focus on Jesus.

It is the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. We are celebrating by focusing on God's word!

By Grace Alone

By grace I’m saved, grace free and boundless! How great is our God! Yet the concept of grace alone, sounds too good to be true. Our sinful nature tries to sneak in a good work here, a helpful thought there. Where do good works come in? Why was one of the hallmarks of the Reformation – By Grace Alone? Watch and find out!

Is the ice safe? Is it safe to trust? It is safe to trust God.

Sola Fide

This Sunday we continue with our series on the Solas of the Reformation. Sola Fide means by faith alone. What does it mean to trust in something or on this Sunday someone as important as our God? Even that trust isn’t something that we can muster in ourselves. It is a gift of God’s Spirit.

It is the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. We are celebrating by focusing on God's word!

Sola Scriptura

If you wanted to find out information about God, where could you go? Are there secrets hidden at the bottom of the ocean? Maybe if you climbed the tallest mountain, everything would be revealed to you? Which faith of all the world religions has the truth? This Sunday we’ll go to Scripture alone to find the answer.

How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.

Evangelism

Should I say anything? Won’t they just think that I’m weird? They don’t want me getting into their personal lives, do they? Oh, so many questions. All of these are cleared up with a couple simple commands from our Lord. Go! and Tell!

Stewardship is Life

“It’s my life; I can do what I want with it.”  That statement could reflect the rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that we enjoy as Americans.  God has a thing or two to say about how we live our lives.  After all we are not our own, we were bought at a price.  This Sunday we’ll take a look at the topic of stewardship and what it means to be a Christian Steward.  Exactly what does God own?  Join us this Sunday and find out.

How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.

Which Church

Why are there so many churches?!  How is it helpful when I drive down the road and see Christian churches of every stripe?  Wouldn’t it be easier if there was just one church?  Maybe.  As we continue our study of Christian doctrine in celebration of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation of the Christian church, we’ll see that sometimes Christians need to “mark and avoid”.  Our God calls us to be choosy on theology and witness our faith to all, including fellow Christians.  How can we wade through these murky ecclesiastical waters?  Watch to find out.

Welcome to the church picnic!

The Trinity

What goes great with burgers and dogs over a park BBQ pit? A study of the Trinity, of course. We continued our celebration of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation of the church with a study of the Trinity. Our sermon at this year’s church picnic looked at how we became part of God’s family.

God created the heavens and the earth.

Creation and Preservation

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. With these simple words God describes his magnificent work creating the world that we live in. He elaborates in the next few chapters in Genesis. This Sunday we will explore creation and see what God has to say about the different theories that exist about the origins of the planet. Join us!
