Celebrate the coming of the Light of the world this Christmas. Find out why Jesus makes the perfect gift this year and every year. Our worship will be a service of Nine Lessons and Carols that will walk you through the promises of our God fulfilled at Christmas. Your heart will be warmed with songs to focus your soul and cheer your heart. Of course, we will offer candles for our final carol, Silent Night. Find links to watch the service live on our Live Worship Page.
A message from our Pastor:
We would love to have you attend our worship service! I want to share with you what I have told our congregation.
In-person worship is one of the most dangerous activities during the COVID pandemic. What makes it so dangerous is the duration that a person is sitting in one location. The virus has more of an opportunity to infect individuals. We do not have a way to bring in fresh air to our sanctuary.
That said, we have done everything possible to make in-person worship as safe as possible. We encourage, but do not require masks for worship. The sanctuary’s hard surfaces, along with door nobs and bathrooms are sanitized before each worship service. The sanctuary is spaced out in a checker board so that families can be at least six feet apart from each other.
I have told my members that I cannot guarantee that a family will not be infected with COVID if they attend in-person worship. If you are at all concerned about being infected with COVID, please worship with us on-line. You can find the LIVE Worship page of our website HERE. Only 10%-20% of our church is back in worship. The vast majority worship with us online. My folks are 74 living in MN, and I have told them NOT to attend worship on Christmas Eve because I think it is too dangerous.
Public worship is a very personal matter. If you and your family still want to attend worship, I welcome you and look forward to meeting you on Christmas Eve.
That’s not a great way to invite visitors, I know, but I want to be honest with everyone about the dangers. I welcome an email ([email protected]) phone call or text (336-682-6802) if you would like to speak with me further about in-person worship or if you would like more information about our church.
