Halloween isn’t what it used to be. And we think that’s a good thing. Gone are the days of small children running in the shadows from one neighborhood to the next. Here are the days when families gather in the parking lots of churches for an afternoon of fun and treats. This year we want to duplicate last year’s success and continue to build ties to and within the community.
If you’ve never been to a trunk or treat before, you’ll catch on quickly. Vehicles ring a parking lot with their trunks open. Volunteers host a game or activity at each trunk and pass out candy to participants. The fun keeps on going as the kids go from one game to the next!
