Normally we think of going back to school and a changing of the colors in September.  We’re firing up the BBQ again to hang onto summer and connect with the community.  It was great fun at the September cookout!

The June Cookout was great fun.  There was a thunderstorm 30 minutes before the start of the event, but we got the grilling done. 

The summer is winding down.  School is about to start, why not take one night to enjoy a cookout!  There were 18 people from the community who had that same thought.  Families from right around the corner came to share some food and a conversation.

The dog days of summer aren’t so hot when you can cool down at a cookout with members of the community.  Thank you, as always, to those who made the event a success.  We were able to see new and old faces. 

Thank you for a great cookout to start the summer!  Many volunteers came together to make the event a success.  We had some surprise guests from the community as well.  There was PLENTY of food.  We’ll try to grow and build on this experience for July.

The rain couldn’t hold us down!  Our August cookout may not have been as well attended as others, but it might have had something to do with the relentless downpour 30 minutes before the event was supposed to start.  Grilling was a challenge, but all of the burgers were cooked to perfection.  There were a few hearty souls who came out to enjoy some food and fellowship.
