How can joy be completed? John describes this as his goal in his first letter. The Apostle John was known as the disciple whom Jesus loved. John was inspired to write a biography of Jesus and a Revelation that offers visions of heaven itself and the end of the world. For this Bible study we will focus on the three letters John wrote to the ancient church.
This Advent and Christmas we’ll do a little American church history and see how the holiday has been celebrated since the days of the colonies. We’ll walk through the centuries and see how the festival of Christmas has changed, not always for the better, not always for the worse. Each lesson we’ll see what our God has to say about Christmas.
This Friday, December 11th, from 5 PM to 7 PM, we will be giving away cookies to the community. Members are invited to drop off cookies and we will also purchase cookies. The goal is to invite 50 families to our Christmas Eve Service and give away cookies with coloring books for kids. Please speak with Pastor Guldberg for more information and if you would like to drop off cookies for the event.
We begin a walk through the Gospel of Luke all the way to the manger. Our study, Away in a Manger, will take you back to when Luke, an investigative reporter, offered his gospel to the Christian church. Join us for our first lesson at 9 AM on Zoom or in person for our Bible Class. These bible studies are light and fun – as much fellowship as they are Bible study.
