When the prophet Joel called God’s people to repentance he understood that this was more than a change of action. Repentance is a change of the heart. This isn’t something that God’s people can do on their own either. In Rend Your Hearts we will look at a number of different passages from our God.

We will offer an Ash Wednesday worship service complete with FREE ASHES. Yes, that’s right, the ashes are free this year (and every year). If you’re not sure about ashes being shmeared on your forehead know that Star of Bethlehem offers a self-imposition of ashes. It is a completely optional tradition.
There are more than one hundred names of God in the Bible. I don’t know that we’ll get through them all in this class, but we’ll make a dent in the list. We could run through them in alphabetical order, but instead we’ll try and cluster them together by topic. This study will take us all over Scripture as we’ll study what God calls himself.
