You don’t need to wonder who Jesus is. He tells us clearly! He introduces himself as the Great I AM of the Old Testament. In this study we’ll begin our walk through Jesus’ claims. There is no room for Jesus to be just a great human teacher. After this Bible study, you will hear Jesus clearly say that his is God.
Jesus and the Jew sparred all the time! The Jews didn’t think that Jesus was God. Jesus doubled down over and over. What’s that you don’t think I God? Well, I’m better than Abraham! Before Abraham was born, I AM. The Jews knew exactly what Jesus was saying. That’s why they wanted to stone him!
Lesson Two: I AM The Bread of Life
I AM – The Bread of Life is the second lesson in our series on the person of Jesus. The crowds were following Jesus. Some came to see the Savior of the word. God’s promise of a Messiah was being fulfilled before their very eyes!
Lesson Three: I AM The Light of the World
I AM – The Light of the World is the third in our series on the person of Jesus. The darkness of sin and death melts away when the Light of the World comes into a believing heart.
I AM – The Gate is our fourth lesson from our series on the person of Jesus. The Gate is probably one of Jesus’ least known names. One of the tensions in this section is the difference between Jesus and his enemies, the thieves and robbers.
Lesson Five: I AM – The Good Shepherd
I AM – The Good Shepherd is our fifth lesson from our series on the person of Jesus. This is probably one of the most familiar pictures of our God.
Lesson Six: I AM – The Resurrection and The Life
I AM – The Resurrection and The Life takes us to the side of a loved one fallen asleep in Jesus. Are with Martha – a little sad, maybe angry – and her range of emotions?
Lesson Seven: I AM – The Way, The Truth, and The Life
I AM – The Way, The Truth, and The Life takes us down the road that no other can go. There is no other way to God. It’s just Jesus.
I AM – The Vine is our final lesson in our series on the person of Jesus. Our connection to the Lord Jesus is vital to our growth and productivity as Christians. If we are cut off from Jesus, we have no life.
