Angels and Demons 9 – Satanism is a look at the confusing topic of devil worship. I suppose part of the problem is why would anyone want to worship a liar?! Satan’s native tongue is lies! Just to add to the confusion, many Satanists don’t even believe that he’s real. From mass murderers to metal loving teens, Satanism has been attracting a following since the Garden of Eden. After all it was Satan who told Eve that first lie – “You will not surely die.” Adam and Eve found out the hard way that he wasn’t telling the truth.
The leader of Satanism is America, Anton LaVey wrote the Satanic Bible. Looking at the Nine Statements you can see that for many people Satanism isn’t devil worship, per se, but a deep dive into self indulgence. There isn’t much constructive or redeeming in Satanism. Much of the faith is simply a mockery of Christianity. Just to be clear the majority of Satanists are not mass murderers. Most of the time you will find atheists in their midst.
1.Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence!
2.Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams!
3.Satan represents undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit!
4.Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates!
5.Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek!
6.Satan represents responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires!
7.Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development,” has become the most vicious animal of all!
8.Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification!
9.Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as He has kept it in business all these years!
