VIC – 2 Samuel 12 – Nathan and David
In 2 Samuel 12 Nathan and David share a story about rich man taking the only lamb of a poor man. This was a picture of David’s sin.
VIC – Romans 13 – Government
“Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities…” But God, I didn’t vote for him! In Sunday’s Bible study we looked at what our God has to say about our rulers. In the 13th chapter of Paul’s letter to the Roman Christians we find some eye opening direction for how we relate to the governing authorities.
Ancient Wisdom for 2021: Work Life
How’s your work life? I suppose that question can take a few meanings and go a few different directions. Let’s try to go down a road. Will we ever be able to rid the world of poverty? Some of our politicians like to speak about ridding our society, but it’s not so simple. I think that Jesus speaks of this when he says, “The poor you will always have with you.”

The kingdoms of this world are ruled by our God. It might not look that way. We’ll spend some time comparing the two kingdoms and then apply what we’ve covered. Jesus’ rule is over all.
