Foundations of Faith – Creation takes us back to the Garden of Eden and the start of everything! Before there was time, matter, or energy, there was God.
Purpose
Why are you here? This might seems like an odd place to start the conversation on creation, but it shapes where we go. So many people aren’t interested in hearing what the Bible says about the creation of the world because if God created the world that means…
- There is a God
- God made me
- I have to answer to God.
That is WAY too scary a thought for may so the thought of creation goes out the window. What other options are there? How about evolution? If evolution is true, that means I don’t need to answer to anyone! I can do whatever I want, whenever I want. For this reason, I’ll ignore the facts about everything and trust in evolution.
Good Start
In just six twenty-four hour days God made everything that you see around you in the world. Consider, with a few words he created the heavens that we are still trying to measure, not to mention explore. Why did he do this? To mark the days, months, and seasons. He made us a giant clock. When you take a look at creation you can see God’s love and care for the crown of all that he made. He breathed into Adam the breath of life, giving him an eternal soul. Adam and Eve weren’t AI avatars wandering around following a program. They were individual people who could show God their thanks, appreciation, and worship by following his will for their life. Take care of the garden, be fruitful – increase in number, and don’t eat from that tree!
