Christ the King

Christ the King is a picture taken from Revelation 19.  Jesus is the rider on the white horse coming with the armies of heaven behind him.

Many Crowns

You don’t see a picture of a king with more than one crown… ever.  The reason for that is they don’t need it.  They are in charge of their one little part of the planet.  Sure some may have conquered more, but all of them bow to the rulers of the kings of the earth, death.  Jesus is different.  He broke death and that’s just one of the reasons he gets many crowns.  One wouldn’t do.

Blood Stained

The armies of heaven march behind the rider on the white horse in Revelation 19.  You’d think that the one person who shouldn’t be dirty after a battle is the king.  He’s got people for that.  He’s far too important to risk injurie or loss.  This king id different.  Jesus is the ONLY one who looks like he came through a war.  That’s because he was the only one who could fight the battle for us.  God made him who had no sin to be sin for us so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Glorified Scars

If you’ve been hurt or wounded in this life, looking forward to a glorified body in the life to come makes sense!  That bad knee, sore back, maybe there was a TBI that is holding you back?  Maybe it’s an addiction that not only ruined your life, but destroyed the lives of people you love.  Your glorified body is absolutely something to look forward to, as are the restored relationships!  Jesus’ scars are different.  Those wounds are a feature not a bug.  They ARE glorious because those are the proof that Jesus is our sacrifice for sin.  His life proves that we will live.
