Ever have a hard time seeing your way? Saul could see with his eyes just fine, but he was spiritually in the dark. God knocked him off his horse and removed his sight. It was in blindness that he found Jesus with a little help from a new friend.
What or who is the most important thing in your life? Think that’s an easy answer? God is the most important thing in life! Ask Abraham as God helps him to see the answer in a way he and Isaac would never forget.
“Show me your friends and I’ll show you who you are.” Those words are as true today as they were some thirty years ago when my middle school principal encouraged all of us in his class to be a little choosy when it came to friends. Friends can lift us up, but they can also lead us down a wrong path. Join us this Sunday for our Bible class following worship as we see one example of just how badly friends can lead us stray. Lot was almost destroyed along with Sodom and Gomorrah! Be choosy!
It can be hard to snap into the warmth of the Christmas spirit in July. The reason is because it’s too hot! All joking aside – the Christmas spirit has nothing to do with hot chocolate and pine trees decked out in tinsel. The Christmas spirit is the joy of knowing that God kept his promise to send a Savior.
