There are three different kingdoms that our God rules over. The kingdoms of this world, now known as nations would be the first example. The second kingdom would be the gracious ruling of our Savior in the heart of every believer. The third kingdom is the eternal one that we only see in part by faith. One day we will be in the glorious kingdom of Jesus’ heavenly reign.
How can we possibly keep God’s name holy? That’s a great question addressed in the 1st Petition of the Lord’s Prayer.
The Lord’s Prayer is a model for us to follow and a frequent visitor to the prayer life of the Christian. This morning we examine the Address. It’s important in any conversation to you with whom you are speaking. In prayer we are talking to God Almighty.
This Sunday we began our Summer Bible class series on the Catechism. We’ll walk through some of the basic teachings of our faith. We’ll start with and introduction to prayer. One of the strengths of this Bible class is the discussion at the end. We’ll touch on all of these questions as we work through the Lord’s Prayer, but there were a couple great questions asked.
