This past week our nation was focused on freedom. The celebration of the 4th of July is filled with fun traditions! Parades showcasing our society, the rockets red glare from a firework display, and a BBQ cookout. We love freedom. Why would anyone throw that away. This is what the Apostle Paul was faced with in the early Christian church of Galatia.
On this special Sunday we have the chance to hear two young men confess their faith and pledge their lives to their Lord. We praise God for his grace in their lives.
This summer we are celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Reformation of the Christian Church. We will be walking through the doctrines of the Christian faith. Our focus this Sunday on the heels of a look at Original Sin is how Jesus was perfect in our place – The Virgin Birth and Jesus’ Active Obedience.
How did you do in school? Were you a straight A student? If the Old Testament Law of Moses could give out grades to the world, every one would fail! Why then would anyone want to go back to school after Jesus has freed us from the Law?! By faith in Jesus we are perfect and forgiven.
