How far would you travel to church? Jesus traveled with his family to Jerusalem for the festivals like every other Jew. We don’t know much about Jesus as a boy, but in this account we hear how Jesus made his way to his Father’s house – not just to worship – but to keep the Law for us.
The wonder of Christmas is on full display this year as we sing with the angels, stand in awe with the shepherds, and look on with love next to Mary. That special feeling that comes with Christmas and all of it’s trappings is an empty emotion without the theology of the Christ Child. God took on human flesh for one purpose. That purpose was your salvation.
