175 Anniversary – Christ Through Us

175 Anniversary – Christ Through Us takes us to the hearts of our three week series.  God works through us to accomplish sharing the message of reconciliation.

Target Rich Environment

16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. The apostle Paul who wrote these words once regarded Christ as just another guy who was trying to abolish the Jewish faith. He tried to lock up Christians. After his conversions his worldly point of view changed. Now all these Christians were an instant set of friends with whom he shared a common belief, and his Jewish brethren were prospects.

  • That means that when you leave this church and go to lunch and your sitting next to a family who doesn’t look like they went to church, they’re not just another family.
  • The guy or gal in the office, cubicle, or desk next to you isn’t just a coworker.
  • The sea of people sitting around you at a busy Trunk or Treat aren’t just members of the public

All of these are prospects. All of these are potential recipients of the message you carry 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

You Need A Doctor

Have you ever known someone who is sick, but refuses to go to the doctor? Maybe they keep on having chest pains or they have an open sore that refuses to heal. Some of you are looking at me in amazement, but there are many people who simply refuse to go to the doctor. Sometimes friends and family have to plead with them, make the appointment for them, and take them to the doctor. The message that has been entrusted to us, is of far greater importance than a trip to the doctor. Without medical care a person’s life could be in jeopardy. Without spiritual care a person’s eternity – his soul could be in jeopardy. God’s love compels you to care about the soul of everyone around you.
